Ten games, 10 wins, 10 double-digit offensive outbreaks for Waiakea softball.

Alize Ka’apana homered Monday, Johnacy Mackwelung connected for three singles and three RBIs and Halee Sweat pitched a four-hitter as the Warriors bested Honokaa 15-0 in a five-inning TKO on the field.

The Warriors, who have all but clinched home field in the BIIF Division I playoffs, scored multiple runs in all four of their at-bats, including seven times in the first inning, when six of their first eight batters reached on hits.

Pacing a 15-hit attack, Emma Fincher hit a two-run triple, Brandee Chinen doubled among her two hits and scored twice and Jolene Hirata was 2 for 2 with two RBIs.

Fincher finished with four RBIs, and Kelsie Imai and Ka’apana also finished with two hits apiece.

Sweat struck out one and also had a hit and two RBIs.

Tehani Espenesa pitched two innings and took the loss for the Dragons (8-4), who have lost three of four and fell into fourth place Division II.

Kohala 9, Ka’u 0: Mikayla Kekoa struck out six in a complete game and Pili Kaai homered and finished with two hits to power the Cowgirls in Kapaau.

Kayla Joy Amaral had two hits for Kohala (10-4) – which has games remaining with Konawaena and Honokaa as it bids to host a D-II semifinal series – and Kekoa doubled. Cece Silva-Kamei was the losing pitcher for the Trojans (2-10).

Also on Monday, Konawaena (6-2) beat Hawaii Prep 25-8 in Waimea.

Water polo

The biggest winner Saturday at Naeole Pool was Kealakehe, but on a day defined by lopsided matches, Waiakea scored points for drama

Jasmine Early scored the game-winner in overtime Saturday as the Warriors rallied for a 7-6 victory against Hilo.

Summer Cassidy recorded a hat trick for Waiakea (2-4), including two goals to force the OT after Hilo (2-5) took a 6-4 lead.

Jaelyn Estabilio had three goals for the Vikings.

Hawaii Prep 9, Waiakea 4: Sarah Houser scored four of her five goals in the first quarter as Ka Makani (4-1) rolled.

Kealakehe 16, Keaau 1: Olivia Akao tallied four goals as the Waveriders (5-2) picked up two wins.

Kealakehe 15, Hilo 2: Maiana Villegas scored six goals and Hannah Tomlinson added three for the Waveriders.

Konawaena 19, Keaau 1: Jalen Gambee put home six goals, Payton Walters four and Riley Walter three to propel the Wildcats (1-3) to their first win of the season.
